In recent years, sweetpotato stem nematode disease has become a bottleneck in sweetpotato cultivation in our province. In June 2021, the company applied for and was approved by the Hebei Province Key Research and Development Program Project --- “Screening of Biocidal Bacteria Strain for Sweetpotato Stem Nematode Disease Control, Construction of Composite Bacterial Line and Its Application”, which aims to solve the problem of unstable effect of existing biotechnology control and control effect lower than the effect of chemical pesticide prevention and control. After two years of continuous testing, the company's R&D team has researched a set of bacterial formulation with obvious prevention effect on sweetpotato stem nematode and obvious growth-promoting effect on the growth of sweetpotato, and carried out demonstration test on 15 May 2023 in the experimental nursery of stem nematode disease control of the National Sweetpotato Industry Technology System, and was approved by the Provincial Science and Technology Department and accepted by Qinhuangdao Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology on 26 September 2023 by organizing experts' on-site production measurement and acceptance.
